Errō is maple wine made with our very own certified organic Quebec maple syrup. Enjoy chilled and expect a taste and texture akin to white wines, but with a delicate and uniquely Errō maple flavour profile.

It’s not sweet.

Though the key ingredient in Errō is our very own certified organic Quebec maple syrup, the fermentation and aging process give it a flavour all its own. Expect something much closer in taste to a white wine than to maple syrup.

It’s comforting.

L’Insolite is a Whiskey-inspired maple wine marked by its warmth, notes of vanilla and caramel as well a charred oak.

Fermented and aged for over 15 months in oak casks, which formerly contained pinot noir from Burgundy, using the insolation method, that is to say outside, in the sun, offers unique aromatic complexity to the wine.

Champlain Spritz Cocktail

A unique and bubbly way to spritz up your glass of Errō.

4 oz Errō
2 oz ginger beer
Squeeze of lime
Lime wedge

Over ice, pour Errō and ginger beer, squeeze in lime and stir lightly with a bar spoon. Add lime wedge for garnish.

S'eau S'eau Cocktail

S’eau S’eau

A refreshing mix of Errō and bitter liqueur akin to an Aperol Spritz.

1 oz bitter liqueur (like Aperol)
1 oz club soda
Slice of orange and grapefruit

In a glass, pour in the Errō and bitter liqueur, top with club soda and garnish with a slice of orange and grapefruit.

A new take on the classic Mojito.

4-5 mint leaves

5 oz Errō
2 oz tonic water
Lime wedge
Slice of lime

In a lowball glass, muddle the mint leaves and fill glass with ice. Top with Errō and tonic water. Squeeze in lime wedge and garnish with a slice of lime or a sprig of mint leaves.

About Erro

Our Name

Our forest is freckled with enormous erratic boulders that were left behind 10,000 years ago by a glacier belonging to the ancient Champlain Sea. It’s this distinct feature of our region that inspired the name Errō, the Latin root of “erratic.” Say it like “arrow.”

Our Forest

We work with local professionals and a long-term vision to promote a healthy forest and a healthy soil, only increasing our scale at a pace our forest allows. We make the wine, but the trees are in charge.

Our Commitment

Maple-based alcohol is one of the only alcohols that promotes forestation, reforestation and conservation. We don’t use pesticides, irrigate, or destroy native growth. In 2019, we moved to a higher efficiency production, reducing the energy it takes to create a bottle of Errō by 60%, and moved from petroleum to vegetable oil pumps.
